Peggy Lee Sings

Songs like “Why Don’t You Do Right” and “Fever” are forever associated with jazz singer Peggy Lee. We love her so much at Ernesto Studio, we added Ernesto Cardinale’s oil painting of Peggy Lee as our header for this online studio and gallery. The artist was passionate about not only painting his favorite subject matter (jazz icons) but what Ernesto describes as his “first love”, Peggy Lee. Ernesto grew up listening to Peggy Lee and seeing her live numerous times. Looking at this painting, you can see that Ernesto had a lot of fun creating a vast explosion of colors to complement his subject.
